StreamLines
Streamlines Visualization helps reservoir engineers identify the main communication paths in their models.
You can use Streamlines, for instance, to check that the geomodel connectivity has been preserved during upscaling, through faults or within geobodies.
Streamlines can also be used as indicators on how to divide a full field model into several sector models based on flow boundaries.
Streamlines will also show which injectors and producers are coupled and thus provide qualitative information on waterflood efficiency.
With the quantitative streamlines module, waterflood efficiency is quantified. For each injector-producer pair, the volume of oil produced per volume of water injected is calculated. This information can then be used to better distribute the injected water and improve oil recovery.
